BEST OF 2010
It’s always exciting to put out a new record. What makes it even more exciting is when it is well received. My Dinosaur Life came out on January 19th, and debuted at #15 on the Billboard charts. A fact that still blows my mind. This record felt like even more of an accomplishment to me, after the disastrous 2009 that I had with my arm (in case you don’t know the whole story, read:
http://www.drummagazine.com/features/post/tony-thaxton-thems-the-breaks/ ). Starting the year off with a fairly successful record release was a fantastic way to ring in the new year.
And now the news was just released that Alternative Press has named MDL as the #1 Essential Album of 2010.

Now, I’m not here claiming that our record is the best record of the year, not by any means, I’m just putting this in my “Best of 2010” as more of a personal event. So, back off, jerks. How dare you.
